How to forward emails and PDFs

Every store gets a unique forwarding address when you install PDF to Order. Forward purchase order emails to this address and a Shopify draft order is created automatically.

Go to Shopify Admin > Apps > LevelOps PDF to Order. Your unique address is displayed on the welcome screen:

your-store@levelops.co

Click the Copy button to copy it.

You can forward any of the following:

Format How it works
PDF Any layout — typed or handwritten.
Word doc .doc and .docx files.
Excel / CSV Any column structure.
TXT Plain text files.
HTML HTML files or formatted email content.
Email body Order details written directly in the email text. No attachment needed.

No templates required — it works with whatever your customer sends.

Each forwarded email must contain exactly one purchase order. If a customer sends multiple POs in one email, split them into separate forwards. Multiple PDFs per email are not yet supported.

Auto-forwarding eliminates the manual step. Create a filter so inbound PO emails route directly to your LevelOps address.

  1. Open Settings > See all settings > Filters and Blocked Addresses.
  2. Click Create a new filter.
  3. Set your filter criteria (sender address, subject line, etc.).
  4. Select Forward it to and enter your LevelOps address.
  1. Open Settings > Mail > Rules.
  2. Click Add new rule.
  3. Set conditions to match PO emails.
  4. Add the action Forward to with your LevelOps address.
  1. Create a new forwarding rule in Gorgias.
  2. Target inbound order emails.
  3. Set the forwarding destination to your LevelOps address.

Draft orders appear in Shopify Admin > Orders > Drafts within 1-5 minutes. You also receive a confirmation email with a direct link to the draft order.
